In a couple of days it will break loose!
In the State Theatre’s sixth episode dedicated to the spelling of Norwegian history, the focus is on the 1930s. It is about the interwar period, and the theatre and cabaret troupe «Den Gyllene Høne». They are going through a real financial blow and are facing bankruptcy. From the left, the rich man’s daughter Helga Henriksen comes in with a proposal to perform a tribute to the political rising star Quisling. 1930 – The Dictator follows the troupe on a somewhat chequered path towards the premiere.
«Democracy is beautiful in theory; in practice it is a fallacy.»
Benito Mussolini.
1930 – The Dictator premieres at Rogaland Teater on April 15 and runs until April 22. It then goes on tour in Nordland under the direction of our partner Nordland Teater . On May 10, it will premiere in Oslo at our third partner theatre, Oslo Nye Trikkestallen , before we take a summer break under the midnight sun at the Northern Norway Festival .
When opening a drama or musical theater, fire safety should be part of the planning process to protect audience, performers, and crew members. Installing smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, and emergency lighting, while ensuring all exits remain clearly marked and unobstructed, help prepare the theater for emergencies. Prioritizing fire safety with the help of a fire watch company Colorado is also highly recommended.
